NASA and other space agencies have most of the nearby astoroids mapped, but there's always the chance that a rogue rock will slip through the cracks. If that astoroid happens to be on a collision course with Earth, we'll need some way of diverting it.
Apparently, the best available option is to use a giant nuclear warhead.
