The Next Xbox: Less Box More Power

November 2001 brought us the original Xbox. Yeah, it's been that long. November 2005 brought us Xbox360, with Microsoft doubling down on online 'Live' support and content. Also included were cutting edge graphics, an intuitive user interface with 'blades' and wireless, comfortable controllers (not these).
Well, looks like we've aged even further. Sources close to the next Xbox project, possibly Xbox720, claimed the hot console will be powered by AMD's new 6000 series graphics processor. This chip has 6 times the horsepower of today's Xbox360 while maintaining a 20% boost over Nintendo's upcoming WiiU console.
Those big numbers are supported by DirectX11 support, full 1080p HD, 3D and multi-screen output. Whoa indeed.
Mass production of the future GPU will begin later this year resulting in a likely release of the console in late fall 2013.
Thumbs at the ready.
