In the wake of U.S. pioneering a worldwide crackdown on online piracy FileSonic, a website providing online data storage, has shut down. FileSonic released a statement on its website that it would only allow users to access their own files, as it describes itself as the "Unlimited Storage Company."
"All sharing functionality of FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally."
FileSonic's shut down comes right after Megaupload being shut down by the Feds after violating piracy laws. The group is being accused of taking more than $500 million away from copyright holders and generating over $175 million in proceeds from subscriptions and advertising.
